GROWTH Coaching

A Values-Based Path to Your Personal and Professional Potential

What Is GROWTH Coaching?

Through GROWTH Coaching, you engage in a thought-provoking and creative process designed to inspire you to maximize your personal and professional potential in the area of life that matters most to you right now, whether that's work, school, relationships, health, life balance, or something else entirely.

GROWTH Coaching is built on the GROW model — a widely used and respected framework in professional coaching.

This isn't a one-size-fits-all program. There's no set number of sessions, and no predetermined script. The GROWTH framework is simply a flexible container — a way of thinking about the coaching journey — that gets tailored to exactly where you are and what you need.

The GROWTH Framework

  • G Goals:  We start by clarifying what you actually want — and why it matters. Goals grounded in deeper values and sense of purpose hold up when things get hard.

  • R Reality and Resources: We take an honest look at where you currently stand in relation to your goal and we identify the resources you already have to draw on.

  • O Options and Obstacles:  We brainstorm paths forward, and anticipate the obstacles likely to show up along the way — and develop real strategies for moving through them.

  • W Way Forward: We translate insight into action, and we build a concrete plan with immediate, short-term, and medium-term steps — all in service of your longer-term goal.

  • TTest: We take stock: What's working? What isn't? What needs to shift? This phase keeps the process honest and responsive rather than locked into a plan that no longer fits.

  • H Habits: Finally, we focus on sustainability — helping you maintain the  behaviors that keep you moving toward your values-based goals long after our work together ends.

GROWTH Coaching may be a good fit if you:

  • Have a goal or area of life you want to move forward but aren't sure how

  • Want a thinking partner rather than someone telling you what to do

  • Value a process that's flexible and responsive rather than rigid

  • Are ready to take honest stock of where you are and build sustainable change

  • Gifts Compass Inventory (Life Atlas) — Helps identify your natural gifts and how they show up across different areas of your life.

  • Discover Your Passion (Life Atlas) — Supports you in clarifying what truly energizes and motivates you.

These tools are entirely optional and can be incorporated into our work together if and when they'd be useful to you.

FAQ

  • I've never worked with a coach before — what should I expect? Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused conversation. Unlike therapy, which often looks at the past to understand and heal, coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to go. I'll ask questions, offer reflections, and help you think more clearly — but you're always the expert on your own life.

  • How is coaching different from therapy? Coaching is not therapy and isn't designed to treat mental health conditions. It's a forward-looking, growth-oriented process for people who are generally functioning well and want support pursuing goals, clarity, or change.

  • How many sessions will I need? That depends entirely on your goals. Some clients work with me for a few sessions around a specific goal; others engage in ongoing coaching over a longer period. We'll discuss what makes sense for you.

  • What happens on the free discovery call? We'll talk about what's bringing you to coaching, what you're hoping for, and whether we're a good fit to work together. There's no obligation to continue afterward.

  • What if I can't afford $150/session? A sliding scale is available. Please reach out directly and confidentially to discuss options.

  • Do I have to do the VIA or Life Atlas assessments? Not at all — they're optional tools available if and when they'd add value to your process.
